Teen Mom on MTV follows Maci, Farrah, Catelynn, and Amber as they become new mothers at a very early age. Seen previously on the MTV show I’m 16 and Pregnant, the series shows the reality of motherhood, and in Catelynn’s case, the effects of adoption on a caring birthmother.
Each teenager comes from a different economic background and has a very different network of family and friends. The series shows the evolution of each young mother, and in many cases, of the equally bewildered young father.
Farrah Tries to Stay a Teen
Farrah clearly has the strongest support from her mother and step-father. They routinely babysit for baby Sophia while Farrah tries to hold onto her social life of dating and hanging out with friends. She doesn’t have to worry about money and is the slowest to realize just what sacrifices she will need to make as a mother.
